Grandview manages each stage of the auction, from the first conversation through pickup and payout.
Photography at your home
All photographs are taken at your home, so you do not need to worry about logistics or moving furniture and other belongings.
Editing and presentation
Photographs are carefully edited to ensure each lot receives the strongest, clearest presentation possible.
A seven-day online auction
Your auction is posted on BidRustBelt.com for seven days. The timeline can be adjusted when needed. Listing through BidRustBelt allows your sale to be advertised to an email list of over 50,000 people.
One controlled pickup window
A scheduled pickup means traffic at your home is limited to a short period—typically two to four hours, adjusted to the size of the auction. Grandview handles customer service and transactions during pickup. Your address is not published in the auction; it appears only on the invoices of winning buyers.
Payout and rates
Payout occurs within 72 hours after the auction closes. The homeowner receives 60% of the final lot sales and Grandview receives 40%, consistent with many area auction firms. A 13% buyer’s premium (paid by the buyers) is added to the final price so it does not reduce the seller’s proceeds. This is a standard rate for the region.
